Rita & Hai’s wedding portraits had me at hello. From her incredible summer dress from Barney’s CO OP that was altered to be a wedding dress, to her flower sash which was custom made by Pish Posh on Etsy and her Diba shoes from Nordstrom. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful silk chiffon Taryn dresses from J Crew and Hai donned a Michael Kors suit with a Burberry tie, J Crew socks and Converse All Stars. The whole thing just screams Rock n Roll sophistication!

I have to say there is something about Danie & Ilene’s wonderful wedding that makes me totally and completely happy…I can see why Ilene wore ballet shoes – she must have been spinning around all day with joy! The wedding took place at the sunny South African venue of South Hill. Ilene wore a Robyn Roberts dress with her ballet shoes and looked everybit the ballerina princess.

Heather & Neil’s sunny, yellow and turquoise themed wedding was actually not as sunny as it appears! While the wedding party got ready it poured with rain, yet luckily for all, when it came to the portraits (which I heart) the sun shone. Great photographs like this will make any wedding day look happy, relaxed and sun-filled…even if it’s pouring with rain!

Makah & Andre’s engagement shoot makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside; and as I sit here in my Slanket and fingerless gloves (I kid you not) I am so excited that they shared them with me! The South American couple met at the party of a mutual friend and they got married in December. After seeing these I am very excited to see their wedding photographs now too…I hope they make me feel just as snuggly warm.

Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
