Andrew & Talitha were married last year but were keen to do something a little different and have fun doing another photo shoot. “After many emails with Talitha, I knew she and Andrew would be perfect for a fun fair shoot we had been dying to make happen” photographer Angie told me. ”We wanted a certain look – 50’s inspired hair and makeup and I knew we had to have a lollipop bouquet and lollipop buttonholes for Andrew.”

The shoot was held at The Hawkesbury Show that happened just one weekend a year, and is about an hours drive from Sydney. “This smaller show was the perfect opportunity to shoot our 50’s Fun Fair Couture Bridal Portrait. The plan was to just have fun. We weren’t sure what games or rides would be there but we knew what we were hoping for. We made sure we headed for the carousel first – we thought these would be our favourite images but it wasn’t until Talitha and Andrew said they were happy to go on the swinging chairs that the magic started to happen.”

Where could be a better place to celebrate the happiest time of your life that The Happiest Place on Earth!?

“Mary and her strange love for Disney that only a comic-goth girl could have, met Carlos the guitar player for an LA metal band in 2004″ photographer Colette Lash told me. ” They fit together like rockers and latex pants.  Mary rocks out at Carlos’ shows, and Carlos stand proudly by his girl for her art openings and show premieres (she’s worked on all sorts of tv/movie cartoons that have her wicked sense of humor like South Park where she has been for a handful of years) The two make art together too, Carlos builds these guitars and Mary does beautiful paintings on them.”

The pair have a genuine love for Disney and have been season pass holders at the park since day one, “especially for Bats Day!” Colette laughed! ”Revelling in the snarky comments from the visitors from Snore USA, weparaded down Main st to New Orleans Square hand in hand and gently shaded by Mary’s black parasol.  With the perfect black diamond engagement ring in hand Carlos proposed to Mary on the Haunted Mansion ride in front the crystal ball area.” On the actual shoot day the couple convinced a Disney worker to embroider some Micky Mouse hats with the words “I” and “do”, a really cute and fun touch I think.

Check out Janet & Cody’s engagement session at Kern County Fair…Nope, not bored of fun fair shoots yet!

They were such a cute and fun couple to work with. Lots of electricity between them! Anytime I asked them to look at each other, a few clicks of the shutter later and they’d be kissing!
