When newcomer Jonas Peterson emailed me a link to some his weddings this morning, I knew I recognised his name…I did a search and realised I’d featured one of them before as it had some kick as Australian Groom Style!  The other wedding he sent me (he has only ever shot two – quite unbelievable when you see how amazing these photographs are!) was that of Geoff & Cait – a totally rockin’ riverside affair.  He has still most definatly got the Groom, Groomsmen (and women!) thing down…

I am loving the soft feel of these images - I’m really into this almost angelic, vintage look right now.

Thanks for sending these my way Jonas – I’m looking forward to featuring more of your weddings in future!

Be Inspired

I’ve got one more mini post for you before I sign off for the evening.  After perusing all your survey responses, I’ve discovered that the second most popular response to the question ‘what would you like to see more of on RnR Bride?’ was ‘Inspiration Boards’ (after ‘Real Weddings’ I’m glad to see I’m doing something right!)

Now..I’m no inspiration board expert (yet!) and I’m sure we all know that Kathryn over at Snippet & Ink is the actual queen of all things inspiration board, so for now I’m going to hand over to her with a couple of my favouritest of her amazing boards

However from now on, I want to hear from you.  Send me your inspiration boards, whether they’re for your own weddings or just for fun, and I’ll post the best ones right here…I may even give a prize if I get a lot of entries..but I haven’t thought of what that could be yet, leave that one with me!

I really try not to have favourites – I feel like a Mother favouring one child over another…but I’m afraid I have to admit, Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel is probably one of my all time favourite photographers and blogging buddies (sssh! Oh God, now I feel totally guilty!)

We met (as in online met) probably about a year ago when the old (RIP) Rock ‘n Roll Bride was still going, and I remember Tara telling me how she was desperate to shoot a really Rock ‘n Roll wedding…well finally I think she has got her wish!
Tara uses a combination of Holga and digital work, creating a unique and beautiful perspective of the world and a totally different take on the usual wedding photography.

The main reason she sent me this wedding was due to the shoes!  How on earth did she know I would love them?!
