Red Rockers

After running a free photography contest on her blog (hint: enter mine!) photographer Laura Ryan was lucky enough to find Rebeca & Martin – two rockers from Boston who wanted her to shoot their red-themed wedding. Rebeca’s dress and Martin’s coat were handmade by her friend who created it for her from a 1950’s pattern and Rebeca even made her own hairpiece. The whole wedding had a old English teatime theme so everyone wore stylish hats, ate finger foods and drank tea to their heart’s content in the beautiful historic building of Boston College Club, complete with cascading staircases and baroque style wall paper.

Crazy in Love

A ‘typical’ engagement session this certainly is not. Axioo have gone and blown my mind again! Fun, flirty, hilarious, sexy, cool, crazy and quirky all in one shoot – you’re going to go nuts for these.

Glamorous. Intimate. Chic

A City Hall ceremony doesn’t have to mean a quicky wedding. Herdah & Jonathan had a pretty damn glamorous but intimate and chic wedding at San Francisco’s City Hall followed by an even more glamorous but similarly unconventional reception at E&O Trading Company. Hardah wore a dress by Lian Carlo Couture  and shoes by Kate Spade. The beautiful flowers and suculents were put together by Herdah’s best friends and bridesmaids, the cupcakes were from Kara’s Cupcakes . Stunning.

Fashionable

Jenny & Ian got married in San Francisco this March. Jenny has a particular interest in high fashion and editorial photography and so the couple really wanted to bring this feel into their wedding. Everything from her Ulla-Maija dress to her amazing and unique birdcage veil/hat combo from Designs By Kristen, from her short reception dress by Priscilla of Boston Platinum Collection designed by Kenneth Pool to her Yves Saint Laurent shoes – every detail rocked that fashion look.

I also completely love their reception details. The had a Chinese Banquet at Tai Pan Restaurant in Palo Alto, the theme of which is reflected by details such as their stationary, the flowers and their adorable anime inspired cake topper.

Thanks to Rachel for sending these in…I heart them.

I received the cutest and most excitable submission I have ever had the other day. Josephine Sicad is a Filipino girl living in Singapore who is just tipping her toes into the world of photography and where better to start that by shoot her and her (then) fiance’s engagement shoot (or pre nup as they call it over there.)
I’m sure she won’t mind but I have to share some of her excitement right here, just so you get the emotion behind the lens:
While browsing through your site, I get so giggly to share my own set, too. I happen to be my own photographer (the tripod-remote-timer-way) for my own engagement sessions. Teehee! Which is why I am just giggling to share it,too. My idea was a touch of vintagey and rustic feel to it which I always love love love. We did our photoshoots randomly to places we find great backdrops (the park and some rustic places) here in Singapore and yes, including my own bike. Weeehhh! I wanted it to be simple and yet so FULL of LOVE. We had these shots taken around June, while we just got happily married last July 28 and I am still working on my edits Hahaha. Sadly, I couldn’t be my own photographer for my wedding, you know I wish I could. Hahaha But I had amazing friends who helped me capture all the wonderful moments, too as it was just a 9 people wedding in fact. =)

I love these for the cute, playful joy – the experimentation of a new photographer finding her feet is totally alluring. Josephine even gives each image it’s only little intro – my favourite has got to be ‘Nobody Can Be Uncheered By A Balloon’ Check out her flickr for more.

I know there are great things ahead for the delightful Josephine and I can’t wait to see more of it!

Infused.

Gina & Aris’ wedding was infused with gorgeous details reflecting their stunning venue – Portland Classical Chinese Garden.  I think it does without saying that Gina’s Stephanie James Couture dress is ridiculously gorgeous (it’s one of those dresses I never tire of seeing!) but I am also loving their adorable flower girl in her oriental inspired outfit + parasol, the origami paper flowers and the cute teeny tiny cupcakes and pink & blue bird cake topper.

Thanks to Sean for sending these my way!

Glorious

Continuing the Long Sir love fest with this glorious green dress Bride…it was the tulle and the red show combo that did it for me.

These landed in my inbox approximatly 20 minutes ago and as soon as I laid eyes on them I emailed the photographer Natasha back saying “omg I have to have these!” I think it’s pretty obvious why right?!
The wedding took place in glorious and uber stylish San Francisco.  The Bride is in fact a fashion designer and can’t you tell from her amazing dress/shurg/shoe combo…and a Groom with black nail varnish? Rock and Rooooll!
Thanks Natasha!

Oriental Origins

Those who know me know I love all things from the Far East, I’m talking sushi, sake, Hello Kitty and Honda…so when Imthiaz showed me this wedding she and her husband shot how could I say no?  I am loving all the oriental details…what a little gem!
