Laurence & Gi’s low-key and informal wedding had me smitten as soon as I laid eyes on those flower head garlands! To me, they totally sum up what I adore about this wedding – leaving your stresses behind you, having fun and creating something personal and beautiful. They had a very small wedding with only a few guests and the really put their all into creating something wonderful. “I didn’t have a focused inspiration in mind to be honest, but I did have a clear vision on how I envisaged the vibe of the wedding, so I wrote down in my notebook ‘Young, Easy, Relaxed with a little bit of Attitude!’” explained Gi. “I wasn’t quite sure on what I wanted, I was very open-minded with my imaginations. I didn’t want a cliche wedding with too many guests and too many formalities, there wouldn’t be enough for intimacy.”

“Going with my heart is the only thing I follow. I wanted this event to be real and beautiful, a place with a natural beauty yet also earthy and humble.  I didn’t want my guests to just join us for the wedding day only, I wanted to treat them to a long, relaxing weekend together, well away from their stresses of London. A little low-key, summer afternoon garden wedding as relaxing and charming as it can be, where everyone can just be themselves and look awesome. And of course making sure there’s enough ice to keep your drinks chilled.”

I am totally loving the Barbies and mini rubber ducks used in the decor (!) and hand-drawn personalised illustration placecards. It’s the little details like this that make this intimate wedding so beautiful.

Gi wore a dress by Ralph Lauren which perfectly complimented the laid-back, bohemian vibe of the wedding. Her tiara was by Andrew Prince and veil by Sarah Morgan Bridal. The flower head garlands that she and her bridesmaids wore were created by their florist, Charlie of The Real Cut Flower Garden, a company that specialise in growing their own flowers and foliage in the English countryside.

“We grow glorious old-fashioned and unusual flowers and foliage and create beautiful seasonal bouquets which can be delivered from our gardens to your door,” they say. “Ours are flowers for anyone who appreciates gardens, a long way from standard florist fare. Wedding flowers are a speciality, glorious natural arrangements for any situation, whether you’re getting married in a cathedral or a field.”

Alejandro & Aurelie’s wedding was a small one – tiny in fact. They were wed at Hammersmith & Fulham Registry Office with just a few close friends in attendance. They didn’t have a reception but instead will be having a big family party back home in Switzerland later this year.

Aurelie’s wedding day look was inspired by artist Frida Kahlo. She wore a vintage dress from Paper Dress Vintage and flowers in her hair from H & M. Aurelie is an artist (check out her exploding jewellery!) and so made her tourquise earrings herself from a pair of turquoise stones that Alejandro had bought her from Porobello Road Market.

It was Elvis’ birthday on Saturday so I thought I’d mark the occasion by sharing Amy & Daylen’s awesome Elvis-influenced Las Vegas wedding with you this morning!

They were married at Graceland Chapel, Vegas by Elvis (of course) followed by an informal and rockin’ party reception at the MGM Grand in the Skyloft Suite.

“We had a reception with about 25 of us at a Skyloft Suite, then all of us took a party bus to Graceland Chapel to get married by Elvis, we chose the Blue Hawaii package and Elvis sang 3 songs,” explained the bride. “It was the loudest and liveliest wedding ceremony ever, I’m pretty sure. We all sang and danced and cheered, so much fun and exactly how I want to enter into marriage, with a fun party.”

“Our party bus however, ended up being a disaster; they were an hour late as they forgot to pick us up. After many calls they sent a rickety party bus with no AC, flickering lights and no music that eventually broke down on the freeway 5 minutes into our trip to the chapel. We then got picked up by another company with their party bus that did in face get us there safely and then tried to leave us at the Chapel (an amazing Groomsmen helped us out there), all in all, that really actually made the trip as we had an amazing time on the side of the freeway and we laugh about it now!”

“We didn’t have the bridesmaids or groomsmen wear anything specific, we just gave everyone a theme and let them roll with it. I bought everyone fun sunglasses and glow necklaces to have fun with. I very much just wanted this wedding to be fun and relaxed. I didn’t want the stress to be there, I wanted to laugh during the ceremony not cry (and laugh we did a lot of), I wanted it to be more of a good time than making sure everything was perfect, because it far from wasn’t but that’s what made it fun and unique in my eyes. I loved how I looked, I was comfortable and enjoyed the moment. If you watch the video or look at the ceremony photos, there was a lot of me dancing and singing as well as my husband and guests. I wasn’t sure what to expect and the surprise of it all was the best.”

Amy wore a dress from Anthropologie and an antique necklace handed down from her Mother. Daylen kept his look casual and rockin’ with a shirt from J Crew and trousers from Banana Republic. His awesome bow tie was from etsy seller Me & Matilda.

(did you know that I always post all the vendor info and more photographs after the ‘jump’ be sure to check it out…)

Don’t you just love them?! You can also watch their ceremony video on You Tube here!

Amber & Mike pride themselves on their unconventionality and so wanted to make sure their wedding was just that too. “It made perfect sense to go to Vegas,” Amber told me. ”However, we even bucked Vegas tradition by not getting married in a small chapel by Elvis. We found an amazing garden complete with ducks, just right off the strip. I’d like to consider our wedding half elopement, half planned (we planned in 4 weeks). My muse for the entire wedding was a single lipstick that I’m obsessed with called Melrose Mood. Imagine the most obnoxiously, opaque, electric baby baby pink and you’re sort of close to what it looks like.”

The bride is a make up artist so did all her hair and make up herself. In fact she seemed to almost enjoyed the getting ready part of the day as much as the actual wedding bit! “I spent the morning with my bridesmaids doing make up, eating gummy dice and card cookies (amongst other treats). We had an amazing bridal photo shoot in the atrium at Bellagio where we captured some sweet Alice inspired photos. Which is totally fitting since my husband is related to the real Alice in Wonderland, Alice Liddell (can you say “keeper”?). I wore were 6 inch heels entirely covered in Swarovski crystals. Needless to say the bridal shoot stopped traffic.”

The actual wedding was intimate and personal and very much ‘them’. “We took a limo to the venue and performed a short civil ceremony. Afterwards we ate dinner with family at a small organic restaurant. Our cake was two tears of red velvet with butter cream. Our wedding favors were little french macaroons. Each box had a pistachio and strawberry. (Um, pretty sure I ate about three other peoples boxes). One of the best parts was during dinner a few of the shy little nieces came to my table to “give me my wedding present”. In unison they sang 2 lines of Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi then ran away. It was just so funny and random.”

Central Park played host to Angie and Jordy’s wedding. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, the couple chose New York to get married in because it was the first place they travelled to together, “It just seemed like the ideal location for us” Angie told me. ”We wanted to see more Broadway shows and catch a Yankee’s game.  No to mention many of our guests had never been and who doesn’t want to visit New York?”

Central Park was the perfect location for them because they wanted to have an outdoor wedding, “We did research online and through the Central Park website I found our wedding planner Julie Lindenman (I Do New York) who organized the ceremony for us,” she continued. ”We looked at different locations within the park but loved the rustic look of the Cop Cot area.  We also liked that it had seating for everyone as our group was small (only 25 people).  We had a cellist who was originally supposed to play our 3 songs but we were so grateful he played the entire 45 minutes while we were waiting for my mother to get there.”

Music was really important to the couple. The prosessional music was Child of Mine by Guns n’ Roses, Angie walked down the aisle to All I Want is You by U2 and the couple walked out to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.
