I’ve got an epic double bubble of a feature today – Olga & Jo’s engagement session in Brighton, followed by their gorgeous Rye wedding later today.
The Russian couple wanted their pre-wedding shoot to take place in Brighton as it held special significance to their relationship. The pair moved to the beach resort town in April last year and a week later Jo proposed right on the beach! “My engagement ring was hand made by the family friend jeweller and it is made of platinum with rhodium plating to make it look dark and diamonds,” Olga told me. “We had my grandparents came to stay with us so we had a photo session together after having a breakfast at our favorite Bill’s cafe and store in Brighton. I was wearing the Eley Kishimoto skirt and top and Jo was wearing Folk cardigan.”
Don’t you just adore them? Be sure to pop back later this afternoon for their incredible wedding!!

Holy 1950s wedding awesome Batman! I love it when a couple really get into a theme and do it so well – so well in fact that their photographer Al Overdrive even dressed up as a 1950′s style reporter (photo below.)
Michelle & Craig got married in style at Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Everything screams 1950s retro rockabilly charm – from the pink Cadillac and the diner style grub (giant hotdogs, create your own burgers, fries, waffles, pancakes, ice cream sundaes, Oreo cheesecake!) to the Vivienne Westwood shoes (of which I will never tire) and Michelle’s custom ‘Beverlywood’ Dolly Couture dress.

The awesome Marianne Taylor (who shot my pinky, punky princess shoot) just sent me a selection of her most recent engagement sessions and Sam & Adam’s jumped out at me right away. Not only have I got a unhealthy obsession with toy cameras right now (they used a Diana camera as a prop) but the couple are just to damn right funky for words.
ps you have until Sunday 25th October to get your entries in for the free wedding photography contest - open to all – WORLDWIDE wooooo!

Alex & David’s wedding was a super suave, quirky and stylish London affair. Her stunning dress was actually a modified David Fielden number and suited her perfectly – not too bridal but not too boring! The wedding took place at The Larder in Clerkenwell where the couple added their own personal stamp with DIY touches, homemade cupcakes and a Mr Wippy ice cream van handing out ice creams after the ceremony.
