Oh holy beautiful imagery! Kristen & Steven are flippin’ gorgeous and Kristen’s Mum made her dress! Can you believe that? I just totally love this location too. Is the grass actually greener in America? They really do look like their floating around this field.

Karen & Aaron’s beautiful engagement session was captured by the amazing Kelty of Steep Street Photography . The trio walked around their neighbourhood with their dogs as they wanted to capture a naturalistic and authentic vibe. Aaron’s tattoos and Karen’s cute red polka-dotty/floral dress are super beautiful too and I just can’t get enough of that light!

I fancied starting off the week with a bit of non-wedding gorgeousness. I’m sure you’ll forgive me when you lay your eyes on these little beauties. Pomegranates, a gorgeous orchard, a stunning model, a cute doggie and a generally retro feel make these worth the deviation.

Photographers Craig & Chanelle Segerius-Bruce met Andy & Kim way back in 2007 in Zanzibar, when they (the photographers) were on their own honeymoon. The wedding took place at Parley Manor in Dorset and Kim wore a Benjamin Roberts dress. I am loving the vintage VW cars and that amazing sunset!
However my favourite of all these images, has to be the Jeff Newsom-inspired swirly light shot..mean, moody and very very cool.

I am doing a photo shoot with Chanelle soon..I am very excited about it as the concept we have come up with is quite different to what you might be seeing everywhere else right now…hint: I’m getting all crafty with black tulle!

Smile!

Some might say I have a cynical streak (moi? never!) but these engagements have brightened my very dreary (and slightly moody) day…cuteness!

I reckon their story will make you feel a little bit of happiness too…
Noah knew that he was going to marry Christina; it was just a matter of finding the perfect way to ask her.  Noah had always wanted to write his own children’s books.  And what a perfect way to begin down this road with a fairy tale about him and his future wife.  After months of plotting, writing, and drawing, he was ready.  It was July 25, 2008 and Noah and Christina went to dinner with some friends.  After dinner they decided to head to The Shoppe, a cute little cupcake shop that they frequented.  They sat down in front of the flat screen TV and Noah begins to read a story while illustrations were projected on the screen behind him.  Noah had written his fairytale to tell Christina how much she meant to him.  Noah then got down on one knee and presented her with her engagement ring on top of a cupcake, asking for her hand in marriage.  She of course said yes and Noah and Christina had the perfect storybook beginning to the rest of their lives.

Thanks Michelle, you have brought a smile to this blogger’s face!
