So you loved Omar & Junela’s gothic engagements right? Well you are going to go doolally over their wedding. Words can not describe the work, passion and love that must have gone into planning this day. The details are spectacular and the bride’s powder pink feathered dress, designed and made by Filipino designer Joel Escober…well it literally made my heart skip a beat.

Follow up posts are always fun, I always think when I see an engagement session ‘ooh I wonder what their wedding will be like?’ So it’s great to find out the answer! Nik & Nicole’s Desperate Housewife session gave me high expectations for their big day, and boy am I not disappointed. I am loving Nicole’s crystal encrusted shoes by Steve Madden (customised with the crystal by Nicole), cuffs and hairpiece from Dalita Moda and her phenomenal fishtail dress (check out the back!) designed by the bride and made by Carole Pitts. The bottom even detached for the dancing in the evening. Also check out that fabulous custom made ‘BRIDE’ necklace, also by Dalita Moda. It’s pretty bad ass right?
The bridesmaids look every bit SATC chic in their daring black dresses, also by designed by Nicole and made by Carole Pitts, and their fishnet tights…and the boys in all black – hummanahummana…

Dena & Mark’s day after shoot is the optimisation of glamour! Their outfits and the London locations are spot on and the photography by the awesome Segerius Bruce really reflects and oozes alluring feel. The couple had a Jewish wedding which always tend to be held late on Sundays, so what with the wedding taking place in November, once the ceremony was done there was not much light for a portrait shoot. Doing a shoot a few weeks later worked out perfectly for everyone.
How exactly am I supposed to find the world to accurately describe these images and do them justice? I’m not sure I’m up to the challenge. The gothic glamour, the sense of feeling you get from these is just..well…amazing. The images certainly do all the talking here. They tell their own story.
Photographer Annie told me:
The idea for this shoot wasa real mix of rock n’ roll and art. We incorporated Tom Petty’s song, “Last Dance with Mary Jane” into a photo shoot with 2 agency models (Mirela Paraganglija, and Nima Nezhad) and a fantastic bridal gown designer. We shot it as though it was Mary Jane’s wedding day/last dance…as though it was her final send off.

Magda & Seba’s funky NYC wedding took place at a Catholic church in Brooklyn and then the party continued at Staten Island’s Grand Plaza. Their day had a distinctive black and red theme with certainly an edge of Rock n Roll – Magda even DIYed their beautiful and impressive centerpieces (flowers supplied to Carol’s Florist) adding the crystals herself to really pile on the glamour. The cake also perfectly fitted their uber glam theme and was made to match their own vision by The Cake Topper, NYC.

Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
