Both beautiful and fun, this wedding was zipped over to me by newbie photographer Emma Case. I am struggling to believe this is only the second wedding she has ever shot! The Southampton based photographer told me all about Ruth & Dan’s wedding:
Ruth and Dan were married on the 3rd October 2009 at Hartington Hall Youth Hostel in Derbyshire. They hired the whole hostel for the weekend and guests shared traditional style youth hostel rooms with single beds, bunk beds and shared showers!

UK based photographer Jodie Chapman sent me over this darling vintage wedding full to bursting with British loveliness. Isn’t there just something about a British wedding? We may not have quite caught up with America on the ‘cool’ stakes but the cute, quirky side of our little isle is something that always puts a smile on my face.

As I’m sure you’re all aware, I always try to showcase weddings and photography you won’t have seen elsewhere which means sometimes heading outside the usual US/UK wedding fare whenever I can. I loved sharing all of mangoRED‘s amazing work (from The Philippines) and Jonas Peterson(from Australia) rocked my world. I’m hoping to add Polish photographer, Bartek Woch‘s images to this illustrious list of marvelous multi-cultural inspiration.
I like to think of these as glamorous grunge…a bit rough around the edges but with a heart of magnificence – think Nirvana meets Marylin Monroe!

Sometimes the hardest part of my ‘job’ is choosing which photographs to feature from a set I’m sent. Seriously, this wedding is so beautiful and this couple are so photogenic I got the guilt for not being able to share every single image! So I’ve stuck to some wicked details (peacock feathers yey!) and a small selection of my favourite portrait shots. This couple are awesome and I love Shannon’s fur stole!

#It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…#
Specially outside my front door, as it is currently snowing…woo! Will we finally have a white Christmas this year? That would certainly be awesome indeed. Let’s see what I’ve been spending my time doing this past 7 days shall we?
♥ The wonderful Gala Darling is one of my biggest blogging inspirations. She wrote this letter to me (well to all her readers, but it’s so poignant to me and how I’m feeling right now that it might as well have been addressed to moi) to let us know how great we are. It totally made my week so I have to share it with you too. Be sure to listen to the audio version, where she reads it in her cute kiwi accent. I heart her. Thanks you Ms Darling!

♥ Why fewer blog comments aren’t a bad thing
♥ Being in the UK, the new FTC announcement for sponsorship transparency doesn’t apply to me. However this article has persuaded me that writing one may be the best blogging decision I could make.
♥ We bought kittens! We have to wait until February 7thto get them because they are still only a monthand a month and a half old. I love them so much already! The one on the left is a boy and the one on the right is a girl. The are Maine Coons and will be heeeuge when they grow up (check out the girl’s daddy!) Any help with names will be greatly appreciated. Want to see more piccies?
