I spend a lot of time online (like seriously hours a day) and so of course I come across many a fabulous wedding and non-wedding thing that I don’t want to dedicate a full spot to. So, inspired by one of my favourite bloggers, I have decided on a new little feature. Every Thursday I will introduce you to a few extra treats out there on the world wide web. I hope you enjoy it. Let’s begin…

♥  Problogger spoke about a topic very dear to my heart – the importance of outbound links when blogging.
♥  The Unbride, Justine Ungaro, has relaunched her fabulous blog. It’s had a makeover and is more awesome than ever. Plus to celebrate she is running a veil giveaway from Castle Bride Couture.
Vivienne Westwood has released some brand new colours of the super popular Lady Dragon shoe. I need those red/fuchsia ones in my life asap!
♥  The delightfully dark La Carmina gave us a sneak peak of her newest book – Cute Yummy Time. I can not wait to get my hands on it!
♥ This is kind of last week’s news – but as this is a new feature and I had to squeeze it in. My friend Marina and her band Miss Fitz got through to bootcamp on the X-Factor. Check them out. I’m biased yes but they totally rock!
Design*Sponge posted some super gorgeous downloadable wallpapers on their site. I am currently rocking the  Deanne Cheuk (Light) design.
I Love Lolliblog posted a candy, tully, frothy, gorgeous inspiration board – It’s My Party.
♥ And these lovely people gave Rock n Roll Bride a shout out this week…

Yep, Meghan’s trash the dress/bridal shoot pretty much rocks. I have a lot of ♥ for the night time set – especially the ’will marry for food’ ones.

She actually had the session over a year after she married JP because she really wanted to do something a bit more ‘outthere’ in her dress (which is gorgeous by the way and made by Demetrios.)

Her natural skills and comfort in front of the camera combined with her glorious wedding dress and awesome personality made for one of the most enjoyable shoots I’ve ever done. We started out in downtown SD on the prowl for some graffiti, we lucked out when we found an old parking lot with a sweet car and bright graffiti. She was willing to try whatever we suggested with a smile on her face the entire time (like hold a sign on the side of the freeway…..Meghan, did I mention I love you? It’s true).  After downtown, we went to Ruby’s Diner where her and JP had their first date…..I remember walking through the mall where everyone was staring at us, and I ask Meghan, “do you feel uncomfortable with all these people staring and pointing?” her answer? “I LOVE IT!” Which made me love her. After Ruby’s we headed to our house for some night shots, where Meghan displayed her magical powers (check out the last picture and you’ll totally understand). Meghan and JP, we had such a great time with you and I can’t wait until we hang out again very soon. In the meantime, I’ll be watching for you on America’s Next Top Model!!!!!

Thanks to Rachel for sharing these – more from Studio Castillero to come soon!

After posting Jenn & Skip’s engagements back in May, I was convinced I would totally love their vintage vacation themed wedding – and I guess I was right. They went for a western/vintage vacation theme which was helped along by all their friends and family, not only dressing up for the day, but by helping the couple to DIY the lot!

Jenn made her own veil and fascinator, the invitations, her bouquet, the boutonnieres, the cake, the decorations and the signs. Skip made his own Groom’s cake – a bowling ball and pins – and helped Jenn wherever she needed it! Jenn’s sister and maid of honour made all the cute cupcakes and each Bridesmaid maid their own fascinators. The couple decided not to include anybody in their wedding that they didn’t know – so they had a friend perform the ceremony and other friends chip in with food, hair and make up.

I am obsessed with themed things, so naturally the wedding had to have a theme. Our overall theme was “vintage vacation”. From there we had mini-themes inside the big one. The brides cake and cupcakes were woodland (to go with the mountains). The suggested attire was western. The groomsmen and Dads wore western shirts. The bridesmaids wore headpieces and carried fans, saloon girl style. Both the bride and groom wore cowboy boots (which we already owned)… the groom also had spurs, the hat, the whole shebang! Our favors were vacation & western themed, as well as our decorations, popcorn & candy bar.

Insead of dancing, the wedding was rounded off with fun and games including eating doughnuts on a string, two photobooths, a candy and a popcorn bar.

Wow! Jenn & Skip I am blown away by your wedding. Thanks so much for sharing it!
