Emma & Mattias’ urban & gritty engagement session in Hackney Wick (the East End of London) have inspired me no end. I not only love the rough ‘n ready, graffiti style shots (which are fast becoming a bit of a McNeil signature) but the wonderful heart shots send my heart a-flutter. I asked David how this images came about and he told me that as they were wondering down the street, looking for locations, they came across a warehouse where a Valentines night was being set up. They asked nicely if they would use their heart covered wall as a backdrop and the lovely people said yes. Aren’t the results fabulous?

OK what the hell is going on? Is it really November already…what the fudge?! Does this mean I’m going to have to finally admit that Christmas is on it’s way? I’m just going to forget about that for a while and get to posting today’s awesome weddings and photo sessions…that’s a much better idea!
A wedding based around a moose? I have to admit I giggled rather a lot when I read the email from photographer Olivia. However the photographs certainly justify the hilarity. Sweet and personal…everything we love!

It doesn’t get more Rock n Roll perfect than this! Sommer & Dan’s wedding took place in an old mill is Somerset, New Jersey which is owned by Dan’s parents. The bride wore a 1950s prom dress from Ebay and snakeskin Kate Spade shoes. The groom rocked it in a custom suit with spiderweb lining and the bridesmaids looked the part in leopard print shoes. To top off the day, Bruce, the family pet rooster, served as ring bearer and apparently he did a great job!

Today seems to be the day of featuring new photographers, well photographers who haven’t been zipping all around the blogosphere anyway! Emily Porter literally just emailed me saying she’d never been featured on a blog before, so who am I to say no to showcasing some of her work!?
I chose to feature this engagement set as not only did she tell me it was ‘her favourite engagement shoot to date’ but this couple are beyond cute with their matching curly blond locks!

Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
