What I love about Sonya & Toby’s Cotswold’s wedding was the moments photographer David Jenkins seemed to capture. Subtle, touching, intimate, hilarious…the images just jumped off the screen at me and I felt an instant affinity with the event. I could literally imagine being there.

Quite apart from the photography, the wedding was a simply darling English affair – the church looks elgeant (who says Rock n Roll Brides can’t get married in a chuch? Not me!) the venue looks sweet as hell and the details are fabulous. The bunting, the cupcakes, the flowers, the fairylights. I love it all!

You know I’m usually all about the rock chicks, but there is just something about a quirky, DIY, eco, British wedding that I just can’t resist…and that fact that the bride wore Vivienne’s (I have them in yellow)…well I’m sold! Photographer Mark told me the whole story:

Marie and Karl chose the personal, DIY approach to ensure their wedding reflected their eco-conscious principles, where possible, combined with their love of elegant, vintage styles, nature and music! The day was based in two venues in the Northern English Forest of Bowland on a snowy day in late December.

The invite package contained screen printed and hand stamped bunting on recycled card and a button badge! The couple also set up a website was to encourage electronic RSVPs.

Doesn’t this girl look beautiful in her Mother’s 1970′s country wedding dress. There is something so simple yet so satisfying about these images.

Part three of Caroline Ghetes’ modern vintage bridal sessions landed on my online lap this afternoon and it’s a corker. This final installment has much more of a country feel – the shed, the field, the horses, the cowboy boots, the rustic, casual florals (made by Caroline herself!) - but that doesn’t stop me from having a hell lotta love for them.

The model’s dress was supplied by etsy seller Lorimarsha (it’s the same dress as used in the ‘aviation’ shoot) and her pink hairpiece was by Chamberry Cherry, who can also be found onEtsy.

Thanks to Caroline for sharing her newest work with us.

Last post for today… this just landed in my inbox and oooh how pretty and fun these are. Anthea & Andrew started their wedding celebrations with a low key country style rehearsal meal complete with Anthea in a super cute gingham print dress, which lead nicely in to their vintage style wedding day, where Andrea’s personal sense of style took centre stage again. Her beautiful dress was re-created from her Mother’s wedding dress, and who can’t but smile when they see the photographs of the couple with the crazy straw-glasses!?

Jessica, these are fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing!

ps tonight is your last chance to get involved with the Tinywater contest. I have the near-impossible task of choosing only 3 finalists now..eeek it’s going to be really hard! Come back tomorrow to see who I pick, and to vote for your favourites to win!
