This ccccrazy couple had a pretty mad wedding followed by an equally (in fact maybe more so) insane trash the dress style shoot. Alongside their photographers, Steph & Ryan wanted to show that the assumptions that some couple’s have about trash the dress aren’t necessarily true and trash the dress shoots don’t literally have to mean your dress is completely destroyed. However by not be afraid of getting the dress a little bit dirty, you really can end up with some totally unique images. I wanted to share a selection from both the couple’s wedding and photo shoot as I know both sets of photos bring a huge smile to your face! I love these two!

For their ‘dirt don’t hurt’ shoot the couple went all out will silly outfits, crazy wigs, silly string, creative make up and a whole lot of neon! There is no doubt in my mind that you are going to love these.

Be sure to watch the video after the ‘jump’ too!

Talking about their wedding, the couple explained ”Our inspiration was basically to live up our day to the fullest by keeping a bit of our conservative background while adding in extra flare to show our personalities. We wanted to be creative but not so much to scare our Grandma’s away.”

“We knew that this wedding would be crazy considering our friends and family so we tried to incorporate their personalities into all of our choices for decoration/wardrobe. I think another thing to add is the chicken limo. Since it was meaningful to us (our first date) we wanted to have it pick us up at the church directly after the ceremony. Most of the attendees of the wedding knew about this part of our history, so it was a nice surprise and added quite a bit of uniqueness to our wedding.”

Roxana & John’s incredible Mexican fiesta wedding was shot by the amazing Katherine O’Brien with a Holga, a Hasselblad and a Polaroid camera. The results are not only magical, but give a really unique and different perspective when looking back. In fact looking at these awesome images is almost like a crazy, exciting acid trip…in a good way of course!

The bride, a costume designer, custom-modified her dress with dress with ribbons, rhinestones and a favorite brooch that was her Great Aunt’s. Her groom wore a gold western belt buckle with the initial S for a bit of extra personality.

The couple added lots of fantastic details to suit their papel picado theme (a natural fit given their Texan roots) including tissue paper flowers lining the railings and tables, a custom card box in festive colours that looked like a wedding cake and grosgrain ribbons tied to the cedar arbor with fleur de lis topped markers. They also used Mexican loteria cards as escort cards which they clipped to a red ribbon hanging on an old wooden door. They then put matching cards on each table with a cowboy boot filled with wildflowers as the centrepieces. The wedding cake was topped with a Day of the Dead Bride and Groom.

Wow, hello beautiful people! Lydia & Zonte may well be one of the coolest couples I’ve seen in ages. Lydia is South Korean (and must be a model I swear!) and Zonte is a dancer. They live in Kansas City, Missouri but are getting married in South Korea on August 7th.

I seriously can’t wait to see this wedding – if these engagement shots are anything to go by it’s going to be one cool ass wedding! Do I have the coolest readers or WHAT!?!?!

(be sure to also check out Zonte dancing in the awesome/cute/funny little video after the ‘jump’)

This is a wedding I have been looking forward to featuring for over a YEAR! I first heard about Vishaka & Dean’s plans for a circus themed wedding from their friend Rhiannon Burton of Under the Cherry Moon who was designing them some custom invitations and props for the wedding. I knew from chatting to Rhiannon all that time ago that I would love the wedding and I certainly wasn’t wrong!

Vishaka & Dean got married last summer (The wedding has been featured in this month’s Brides magazine, hence the epic wait until I was allowed to feature them!)  in Corsley, Wiltshire. The theme for the day was a circus-inspired day of fun. There was dressing up and a trampoline; there were hay bales and a secret treehouse with munchies hidden in it; there was a strong man and a lion, a lucky dip and a big top and come the evening time there were smores, sparklers and a bonfire. The tables were named after different circus acts and the place names were badges that the guests could wear later.

Vishaka & Dean even made the strong man and lion backdrop and 15 guests entered cakes to their baking competition, which provided desert.

Aaaaah-mazing. I certainly think it was worth the wait don’t you? Be sure to check out the full vendor list after the ‘jump’ and all the images – the attention to detail is utterly incredible.
