may look familiar because we featured their Tropical Cosmic Wonderland wedding in Mexico inside. Choosing to have a destination wedding did mean that many of their loved ones couldn't attend though, so they decided to have a second reception at home. They hosted it in their own property, The Real Magic House, which they also hire out for events. The day had a vintage circus theme and guests were encouraged to dress the part... which they did!Read more...

The Greatest Showman was a big inspiration for Jenn and Sean's Pittsburgh wedding. They took vintage carnival elements, mixed it with a black and red gothic aesthetic and created magic! They even had circus performers at both the ceremony and reception. Stilt walkers acted as flower girls and when they said 'We do', a fire breather blew out a big fireball!Read more...

This 20s style Halloween wedding started with an intimate ceremony in The French Quarter Wedding Chapel and their officiant was dressed up as Beetlejuice! LJ and Patrick were then joined by a crowd of friends and family in a traditional New Orleans Second Line parade to House of Blues, where theirs guests were met by peacock girls, sword swallowers, aerialists, and palm readers. They then had a second wedding ceremony onstage, complete with lights, smoke effects and confetti canons!Read more...

Inspired by their incredible venue, Preston Court in Kent which comes complete with a vintage carousel, Sammy and Thomas planned their October wedding with fairground and circus vibes. Their attention to detail was second to none, especially when it came to the design of everything. The centrepieces, the cake, even the homemade favour boxes all perfectly complemented their theme.Read more...

Jo and Tom wanted to take the bare bones of a traditional wedding and make it more fun. Their guests entertainment was their prime objective! They’d both been to weddings where there was a lot of waiting around which they found dull so ensured that from the beginning to the end of their day they had entertainment. Coupled with the idea that the day should reflect them as a couple, nothing more, nothing less - their grown-up circus themed wedding was born!Read more...

If you've picked up a copy of my book, then you may recognise Dafna and Eylon as their Las Vegas elopement is one of the real weddings featured inside. I LOVED those images and their story so much! Although they always wanted to get married in Vegas, they also wanted to celebrate with their loved ones back home in Tel Aviv, so it was the perfect excuse to have for a second wedding. The day was held at Bascula, a cultural arts centre that is home to a circus.Read more...

Nicky and Anthony both love animals and wanted them to be a big feature in their wedding day, but without being too novelty or like a kids party. The settled on circus animals and styled everything with a grungy feel in mind to achieve an enchanted, overgrown aesthetic.Read more...

Adam and Katie met when Katie’s friend swiped right for him on her behalf on Tinder. “I turned up to our first date wearing pom-pom shoes, a pineapple shaped handbag and a striped pinafore dress - I wanted to be clear on what he was letting himself in for!” laughed Katie. When it came to planning their wedding, they used just one form of inspiration; Rock n Roll Bride magazine, of course!Read more...

Paul and Shannon's Friday 13th wedding took place in November and had a super glam yet quirky theme. "The wedding was a reflection of everything that we are," said the bride. "Paul loves the prohibition era glitz and glam, I have an affinity for Vaudeville theatre and the vintage circus. We really have such a penchant for drama and over-the-top nonsense, it’s what makes us work so well together! So we infused the place with antique gold, gem-toned carnival glass, and absinthe cocktails. We even had a silent film reel projected onto the walls!"Read more...

Natalie and Patrick had a fairly traditional church ceremony but that's definitely where the the tradition ended! Their wedding reception was one of the most authentic carnival/ circus themes I've ever seen! They changed outfits, had lots of performers and plenty of food truck options for their 500 (!) guests... Oh and they arrived on an elephant. NBD...Read more...

Chip and Elle's inspiration for their wedding was Vaudeville meets a 1920s circus sideshow.
