Top Hat & Tails

This un-bridal shoot was just too much for me to resist! I can not get enough of her ruffled, corset dress and that top hat. Too much yum…

Graffiti in New York

Graffiti is cool. It may not be big or clever but it certainly makes for an awesome trash the dress shoot.

A Colourful Splash

Oh my God this shoot is awesome…it’s good for the soul to take a break from wedding overload once in a while and Kelly Moore has given me the perfect excuse to do so.

Cyrus & Kiss (I kid you not – cutest names ever!) had a ‘the world is our living room’ themed engagement shoot. Along with their photographers, they lugged a sofa (actually from the photographer’s house!) into the back of a truck and drove to their location. When they got there they only wished they had also brought the TV and maybe a lamp or two to complete the set!

Thanks to Paul for sending these to me. Love the album cover feel these have…

Vibrant.

Dave & Pam sure let their imagination run wild with their gorgeous wedding at Canada’s Kopje Regional Park. The Bride is particular loves bright colours and so decided to reflect that in their day by organising and designing the whole thing herself.  Her dress was by Maggie Sottero and the awesome stripey cake was made by Wedding Cake Creations.  For the flowers they relied on the expertise of Art Knapp Plantland & Florists, which meant they got the perfect pink, orange and red (who says they don’t go together!?) flower combo to compliment the rest of the decor.

I love their completely non-boring group shots too! The photographers wanted to find something different and were worried that they might not in such a small town. However when driving one day, the spotted the a mechanic’s garage on the side of the highway and after asking a pretty confused owner permission to use the site they had found their perfect spot. The antiquey sofa and the fun masks add a great finish to the shots and transform them into something that is anything but dull.

Thanks to photographers Emmy & Aaron for sharing this hot damn gorgeous wedding with us!

Pin Up Vixen

It’s nice to break away from all the weddingness sometimes and just spend some time enjoying some non wedding inspiration and Taylor’s senior portraits fall smack bang into this category. I’m sure it’s pretty obvious why I love these – the colours, the contrast and her gorgeous retro rockabilly style – she has got that pin up thing down to a tee with her fluttering eyelashes and her matt, crimson lips. Can you believe this gal is only 18!?

ps I ♥  that egg chair a little too much!

Tina & Derek’s engagements in a burnt down house are so. damn. cool! I am loving the fireplace, the awesome chair and the feather. These have such an intense beauty to them…much love! Photographer Jen Arthur also shot some post wedding portraits as the couple eloped so didn’t have pro wedding photographs, which I can’t wait to see too.

Thanks to Jen.

Who could have thought you could have too much amazing wedding inspiration and photography? Certainly not me…but I feel I have been proven wrong. I have been overwhelmed (in a good way!) recently with the amount of amazing amazing (and I mean amazing) stuff you have all been sending me that I am actually struggling to keep up! I am seriously loving it though and I really wish I had more hours in the day so I could get it all up quicker. A huge huge huge thank you to you all..I love you all so much!

Anyway…on with the show..right now, some stunning bridals sent in by Natalie Norton.  The Bride, Nicole, is Natalie’s cousin so she wasn’t actually the offical photographer of their wedding.  How lucky for Nicole to have such a telented cousin for bonus photographs!  Especially as they are as beautiful as these.

Is it just me, or do these photographs have a truly authentic feel? Like they literally could have been found in an attic somewhere..
