Remember this cute couple and their daring ‘burnt out house’ engagements? Well it turns out their wedding portraits were just as adorable…and kick ass all at the same time.  Gotta love those wrecked cars!

Thanks so photographer Jen for sharing these as well.

Superheroes

Didn’t I tell you I had a lot of amazingness to catch up on? This is what happens when I have to hold off posting for just one day! (ps keep voting, you have until Sunday)

Jenn & Graham had these crazy portraits taken on their actual wedding day as they decided to set enough time on the day to get some amazing shots (that’s got to be every photographer’s dream right!?) I adore Jenn’s organic dress, it is just so stunning and of course it goes without saying that the cruisers, the Groom style (hot!) and the superhero cake topper are awesome!

This has got to be one of the coolest weddings ever, hence the million photographs I’ve posted alongside this!

Thanks to Erin of Fuller Edge Photography for sharing!

Cutting Edge

One of the perks of my ‘job’ as a blogger is that I get to meet so many fabulous photographers, not only online but in real life (seriously I do leave my computer sometimes.) A few weeks ago I arranged a mass meet up of some of the best London-based photographers and was lucky enough to meet Russian born Zhanna Malaya. Now finally I get to share some of her stunning images with you. There is something about those Russians – their photography always looks so cutting edge, fresh and clean..I adore it, and I adore this cute cute couple.

What’s not to love about this wedding?  Amanda & Clint have been massive fans of vintage 1940’s and 50’s styling for as long as they care to remember, to what’s a better style of wedding for them as this? Amanda’s vintage reproduction dress is perfectly accompanied by her Groom in his traditional kilt (with a decidedly untraditional twist) and her Bridesmaids in their stunning black and red pin up halter style dresses. I am also loving their car, their polka dot themed reception and of course that fabulous cake…my favourite layer has got to be the ‘tattoo design’ layer…just hottness!

Yep, this is what I love about the weddings I feature - the awesome uniqueness. Sometimes I find it hard not to share the same picture perfect weddings I see popping up all over blog-land and I even have to give myself a little talking to sometimes and tell myself you love little old Rock n Roll Bride for how different the wedding’s that I feature are… right?
Now Megan & Bob’s wedding’s pretty prettiness goes without saying, but I’m loving that the Groom dressed as Doctor Who and the Bride wore her something blue on her toes. Cute and original..and that bloody rocks.

Kudos to photographer Ashley for sharing the geek chic love

ps you have until Monday to enter the fabulous Tinywater photography contest, so get those entries in – it could be yooou!

Glamour. Pure unadulterated glamour. From the gorgeous Bride and her girls all in their stunning custom made hairpieces from Heather Mandin to the Groom and his boys arriving at Grouse Mountain (the Peak of Vancouver) in a helicopter, the whole day just screams magnificence! It goes without saying that the locations is spectacular, but it’s the ridiculous fun they look like they had that does it for me.

Thank you to photographer Gracci for sharing the love with Rock n Roll Bride.

Urban Colour

Whoa Lisa Woods rocked this shoot! The colours are just gorgoeus…colour is your friend people.

Theological

A scholoristic wedding with a Best Girl rocking it in a top hat is something to be shared. Sharon & Dan definitely went all out to make sure their wedding was truly original, even so far has having the one of a kind 1925 Studebaker as their wedding transport. They also had a theologian conduct their ceremony which was written with the work of Lord Byron, William Morris and Walt Whitman in mind.

If you want to know more about this highly intellectual wedding, check out the Groom’s Blog!

Edit: I just recieved an emaiol from the Groom with some great bonus info about their wedding..check it!
We wanted to include a little of all our favourite things in our wedding – thankfully, it all worked together! Sharon’s an artist and curator and I’m a historian and philosopher, so it was only appropriate to hold our ceremony at Villa Alba – a historical house turned museum preserving amazing examples of Aesthetic mural art.

We went for a peacock theme overall – blues, greens and violets – and couldn’t have been happier with the result. Peacocks are associated with empty vanity, but I find them philosophically compelling; it’s been scientifically demonstrated that a peacock’s display is a genuine reflection of its overall health – that’s the evolutionary advantage. Really, they’re a symbol of beauty as the product of abundant life, the kind of happy and creative life we have together.

We both designed our own outfits – each is a mix of early and late 19th century design, Regency and Belle Époque – and our respective dressmakers did amazing work. Most of the accessories  are vintage or from independent designers, on Etsy or around Melbourne. Our Bridesmaid and Best Girl, Nix and Charis, are both long-time dear friends. Nix’s dress was by the same dressmaker as Sharon’s, and Charis’s suit and waistcoat from the same vintage shop and tailor which provided my brooch and outfit. Charis’s mother – indeed a leading Doctor of Theology – agreed to conduct our ceremony, for which we are eternally grateful!

Special thanks to photographer Jessie for sharing this wedding with me.

Photographers Craig & Chanelle Segerius-Bruce met Andy & Kim way back in 2007 in Zanzibar, when they (the photographers) were on their own honeymoon. The wedding took place at Parley Manor in Dorset and Kim wore a Benjamin Roberts dress. I am loving the vintage VW cars and that amazing sunset!
However my favourite of all these images, has to be the Jeff Newsom-inspired swirly light shot..mean, moody and very very cool.

I am doing a photo shoot with Chanelle soon..I am very excited about it as the concept we have come up with is quite different to what you might be seeing everywhere else right now…hint: I’m getting all crafty with black tulle!

Alysha & Javi are one of those couples that just sound so rock n roll that I wouldn’t expect anything less then a wedding just like this one. What is so great though is that despite the rock n roll persona, this wedding still has so many gorgeous and super personal touches. The car that took them to their wedding was actually the car they had their first date in and all the flowers were based on the same arrangements the Bride’s Grandmother had at her wedding.
The Bridesmaids look awesome in their sexy black jumpers and pencil skirt combo and the Bride looks seriously amazing..and her shoes..oh the shoes! They are by Betsey Johnson and are just gorgeous!

Thanks to photographer Shannon for sending me these.

I will catch you all tomorrow (or on Twitter later, I am crazy addicted!), have you entered the contest yet? There is always space for you!
