Chanel on the Beach

We love Axioo at Rock n Roll Bride HQ…and apparently so do you. You’ve gone nuts over their darling and sweet videos and innovative and adorable photo shoots. I can’t say I blame you, not with prettiness like this on show…and the giant Chanel bag pictures are almost too much to bear!

The guys are traveling around the world over the next few months so be sure to get in touch if you want to be captured by them. You can see where they are going and when on their blog.

Prop City

Funfairs may have been ‘done’ in terms of what the cool kids say is ‘in’ but who gives a monkey’s about what they think? It’s the same with balloons, candy floss and even sun flair…pah I say to that! The funfair is the perfect backdrop for an engagement shoot – fun, colourful, playful and prop city! I want a photo shoot in at a fun fair in fact. Any offers?!

A DIY wedding with Holga images? Oh hell yeah baby…

Shelly & Jeff had a wedding that perfectly epitomised them. From the turquoise and orange pom poms and the personalised ‘All You Need is Love’ M&Ms to their friend playing ‘Blackbird’ by The Beatles and Dr Seuss’ ‘Oh The Places We Will Go’ as gifts. From the sparrow salt & pepper shakers as a cake topper and succulents as centrepieces to the their customised ‘lunchboxes’ by Pink Avocado..oh yes yes yes! Shelly’s beautiful dress was by Linda Asaf and I love it all!

*The* Carnival Wedding

I’m sure most of blog land will have seen and heard of The Langs before without even knowing it. Their engagements, wedding, portraits and anniversary shoot (all photographed by the uber talent that is Sloan Photographers) have certainly made the rounds and with huge justification. Yes. Wow.

So you can imaging my excitement and surprise to get an email from Stacie, one half of the duo to let me know that her and Geoff have ventured into wedding photography themselves and would I like to be the first blog to share some of their work…erm Hell to the YES I would. I predict big things for these guys. Mark my words, blog land will be all over these two within a matter of weeks.

Smilebooth

A photo booth at a wedding is pretty much guaranteed to result in some pretty fab photographs, but a smilebooth by Our Labor of Love takes the idea to a whole other dimension. These guys are probably one of the first photographers I remember seeing doing the quirky, props-led style photo booth and I’m sure like me you’ve seen many others follow suit since.  This set has got to be one of my favourite’s ever – Stephanie & Wil are such a awesome couple and fun guests who were clearly up for it!

Backyard Swanky

You would be forgiven for thinking that backyard weddings are always small, budget affairs? Well not when the Bride’s parents own Portefleur estate! This surely made for a super swanky venue and wedding. Aaron proposed to Lauren with a song he wrote for her and even treated the guests to it at the reception..ahh love.

Thanks to Mathieu for sharing these with me

I quite simply love these – the lanterns, the fairy lights, the huge ass white balloon, the out of focus gorgeousness - what’s not to love?

Hilarity

Johanna & Ryan had some pretty damn awesome portraits taken at their wedding…much love to the faaaabulous Tinywater Photography (as always, I heart them!) It looks like there was a lot of hilarity to be had…

Be sure to click the thumbnails below to get the full effect of brilliance, the mini pictures really do not do these justice!

A Wonderland Wedding

Hello my gorgeous girls (and guys!) sorry I didn’t post at all last night but I am feeling rough like sandpaper…I think I’m coming down with something which is highly inconvenient as this weekend is our one year anniversary! How absolutely ridiculous! It has gone so quick!  So similarly, the posts will be slim to none over this weekend as we are off to Brighton to eat fish n chips, go on rollercoasters, walk down the pier and probably get horribly drunk (again!)  We are staying in a super swanky hotel called The Grand which we got for free as an apology from our first wedding venue that cancelled out wedding 3 months before the wedding day (see, things always turn out alright in the end!)

Just before I go, I simply must share this amazing ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed wedding send to me this morning by Adrienne (who blogs over here)  I am absolutely in love with this girl’s style and their super fun, super colourful wedding full of personaltouches and cute little details (seriously the cake made of flowers – amazing!) Enjoy these, and I will see you all when I get back…
Much Love!
