Shannon & Jayson could only afford to book their photographer to shoot an hour of their wedding but they certainly made the most of it!
The couple pulled together their retro, 1950s vibe with very little money. Shannon wore a dress and pink petticoat that she found in a vintage boutique and the coolest thing ever? Their rings were from an arcade. Oh how cute. These two are clearly young, broke and in love…In fact Alley told me that you’d be more likely to catch this pair at a protest for something they believe in then at the mall. Someone should make a movie about them or something.

First of all I have to start by saying O.M.G how awesome is this image sent to me by Kirsty Mitchell (and yes the bow was really that big) If you haven’t seen her work before then go check out her Flickr - amazing doesn’t even cover it! The make up was done by Elbie Van Eeden and I just loooove it.
So what else has been going on? Well I’ve been frantically trying to get on top of all this bloggy goodness plus writing magazine articles (not that I’m complaining!) plus looking forward to the designer wedding show. On that note, thanks to everyone who entered the contest to win 2 free tickets. U used a random number generator to pick the winner and it is (dum dum duuuuuum)

Those who follow me on Twitter and Facebook will know I’ve had a rough few days of late. I’ve been letting things (or should I say certain people!) get to me and it must stop! Arrgh… so I apologise for that right now. However, in a much more positive vein, I am very excited to get going with this week’s Thursday Treats as it always cheers me to share such internet wonderfulness with you all, my dear readers and loyal fans 
♥ First off – erm..hello? How fabulous are the photos at the top of this post? It was taken by the amazingly fun, cool, quirky and chatty Leah McCormick who I was lucky enough to meet on a cold day in London just before Christmas. I took her for a walk around Soho and down Carnaby Street where she went nuts over the Christmas decorations. Well they are pretty gorgeous aren’t they?

#It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…#
Specially outside my front door, as it is currently snowing…woo! Will we finally have a white Christmas this year? That would certainly be awesome indeed. Let’s see what I’ve been spending my time doing this past 7 days shall we?
♥ The wonderful Gala Darling is one of my biggest blogging inspirations. She wrote this letter to me (well to all her readers, but it’s so poignant to me and how I’m feeling right now that it might as well have been addressed to moi) to let us know how great we are. It totally made my week so I have to share it with you too. Be sure to listen to the audio version, where she reads it in her cute kiwi accent. I heart her. Thanks you Ms Darling!
♥ My SEO article was featured in the UK website, Enterprise Nation, which is all about the 5-9er – i.e people who work full time jobs but run their own business after hours – that’s me alright! Thanks to Emma for the feature
♥ The Broke Ass Bride website has had a glamorous makeover! Dana has worked stupendously hard to revamp her already stonkingly popular blog.
♥ Why fewer blog comments aren’t a bad thing
♥ Being in the UK, the new FTC announcement for sponsorship transparency doesn’t apply to me. However this article has persuaded me that writing one may be the best blogging decision I could make.
♥ We bought kittens! We have to wait until February 7thto get them because they are still only a monthand a month and a half old. I love them so much already! The one on the left is a boy and the one on the right is a girl. The are Maine Coons and will be heeeuge when they grow up (check out the girl’s daddy!) Any help with names will be greatly appreciated. Want to see more piccies?
