A Shoot to Remember

Unable to shoot her cousin’s wedding, Lauri of Zoom Photography decided to give Kaya & Jon a day after shoot to remember!

Kaya and Jon are a true meeting of the minds. She works in advertising and he in finance, living in their Chicago loft, mostly run by their pug Chloe and bulldog Sebastian. Jon’s passionate love of music is apparent from the moment you meet him, his inspired word choice, verbose nature and unsurpassed loyalty also make an immediate impression. Kaya’s extroverted and vivacious qualities, coupled with her caring and generous nature make her noticeably standout in a room full of loud and boisterous people.

An Urban Fairytale

Hurrah! Part two of Caroline Ghetes’ amazing vintage inspired bridal sessions is live! This second installment has a much more modern twist to it as Caroline wanted to show how vintage fashion can work in super modern, urban suroundings. She scoured Etsy for the majority of the gorgeous pieces to go in this shoot. The ever so popular 50’s style tea dress was from ghmarketplace, the sparkly tulle veil was handmade with vintage material from the 1940’s by Liaison, the pink and the peacock hairpieces were by Chamberry Cherry and finally the dramatic bouquet was actually made by Caroline herself.

(Just in case you missed it, Part one is here)

Vendors involved in the shoot included:
Chamberry Cherry
Rachel Larraine
Baroque And Roll
Crimson Empress

Thanks again to Caroline for sharing these with us. I am waiting with baited breath for the third and final installment!

Brick.

This is my kinda Bride, drinking champers out of the bottle!  Quite apart from those alcoholic tendencies, how gorgeous are these photographs by Zach John Hammond? The bricks as a backdrop to their portraits is brilliant – I love the contrast but it’s a completely different effect to using a brightly coloured wall isn’t it?

EDIT: Zach just linked to RnR Bride on his blog and included a fabulous quote that I am going to keep forever…I love Kat’s take on wedding essence. Its all about the fun, funny, and personal…not so much the cliche…unless of course thats your thing.  So rock on.”
Love it!
Thanks Zach!
