Prompted by my own soiree  into the art as well as the fiery debate on the issue on Eastside Bride, I’ve been thinking about boudoir shoots a lot recently. So, it was almost certainly meant to be that I laid eyes on these perfect examples of tasteful boudoir on Kiss the Groom yesterday. Elegant, classy, edgy, ethereal and sexy all at the same time. Yes, I am definitely pro-boudoir…just as long as it’s done right.

The MangoRED boys have done it again. My mind is blown. How is a shoot like this even possible!? I LOVE IT!
The bed shots in particular are like an actual dream sequence. Behold their beauty and ridiculous splendor!
I actually featured newbie photographer Shannon McLaughlin’s own wedding waaaay back in February - many of you may recognise her as Mrs Candy Corn from Wedding Bee. Well, like many of us recent brides, the thought of giving up all things wedding once she’d tied the knot was too much to bear so she decided to venture into wedding photography herself…and oh how pleased we are that she did! She has only had her professional camera for a little over a month and look how awesome she is already!
The recently engaged Veronika & Bryan acted as models for this shoot. Veronika owns her own vintage shop called Sweet Tooth Vintage through the fabulous Etsy so she had lots of amazing outfits to wear. I am also loving the various props and locations used for this shoot – an environmental centre in Philadelphia, the couple’s own home (including their insane number of pets!) and a cuuuute tandem bike!
Anyone that has been reading Rock n Roll Bride for some time now will know that I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the MangoREDÂ boys. The brothers from The Philippines never fail to blow me away with the ingenious eye behind on every shoot or wedding they capture.
How is photography like this even possible?! I literally have no words…

I thought I’d start today off with a little bit of sexiness…why the hell not huh? Gotta love the retro and ‘real’ feel these have. I have another session from photographer Laura waiting in the wings which is another seriously sexy one…eeek I can’t wait to share!

I saw a feathery sneak peak of Mary & Stephan’s engagement session on their wedding coordinator’s website and immediately shot and email to Erin & Court asking if I could blog them when they were all ready. Lucky for me they were of course delighted and I got the email this morning to tell me they were up.

My inbox has been awash with tattooed beauties this past week (can you tell!?) and this amazing boudoir session by the very lovely ENV Photographyis no exception. Woaah sexy lady!! The only trouble is that looking at all these inked lovelies makes me want to get my new tat as soon as possible!

As much as we hate to admit it, summer is coming to an end. When we hit September and the kids go back to school that’s pretty much it right? Hell I had to write an article for a magazine (hehe shameless self promotion to follow soon!) about winter weddings last week for crying out loud!
However with the nights drawing in, we can’t deny that the light gets that little bit more beautiful and the evenings become that little bit more comfortable – so comfortable in fact that Rachel & Nate felt the need for a pillow fight! You gotta love these…
Thanks to the goooorgeous Duston for sharing these with us.

As soon as these images landed in my inbox early this morning I was desperate to blog them right away! First off the couple are ridiculously beautiful (but that, of course, goes without saying), secondly I have never seen such a gorgeous set of images where it is just the two of them, no barriers, no props, just the newlyweds being themselves. In fact I’m not even sure I’ve ever seen an ‘in bed’ style shoot used as part of a day after session. I love it. The photographs are so intimate and so personal yet done in such as way that there is no element of sleaze…I don’t even feel voyeuristic looking at them They really are just art. Art and love.Â
We then move onto the bulk of the shoot, where living in Odessa, Texas (a place where there is apparently ‘nothing ‘) doesn’t seem to have made these images anything less than breathtaking. The train, the graffiti, the river, the tree. The gorgeously intimate style continues only this time with a back drop that tantalises the senses all by itself.
If this isn’t enough for you, then be sure to check out the couple’s wedding too!
A huge thank you to Chelsea for sending me these exclusive shots (oh yes, exclusives make me happy!)

No Monday morning blues here thank you very much. I love the beginning of the week because my inbox is always fit to bursting with plenty of new gorgeousness from over the weekend to post!
Jen & Steve are rather fabulous no?
