For Jessica’s trash the dress, she wanted to go for two different looks. So along side her husband Randy and her photographer Lori she got kitted out twice to create some images she’d always remember. First up was a retro rockabilly style urban session full of graffiti shots and stark architecture completed with her kick ass attitude and fashion including necklaces by Anna Sheffield for Target, the Je t’aime two finger ring (which I adore!) by Erica Anenberg and her heels were by Steve Madden.
F0llowing this a much softer, more earthy style was required, so they all headed out to a local woodland with a gorgeous green chair and had a play around. For this style she wore vintage necklaces and a vintage coat, boots by MIA and a pink disc necklace by Dominique Cohen. Her dress in both sessions was from David’s Bridal.

Quintessentially English

This cute West London engagement shoot delighted me ever so much as I work very near here – in fact I drive past the modern building featured in some of the shots everyday and think how much nicer it looks than the studios where I work…and aren’t Sarah-Jane & Mitul just adorable?I thought my American readers in particular would love the old buildings in some of the other shoots… here in the UK we’re used to old churches and the terraced houses…very quintessentially English huh?

Florence.

Oh the prettiness! Sean Flanigan is one of those photographers who I look at his work and think he’s pretty unattainable for little Rock n Roll Bride. You know, one of those cool guys who always gets featured on the biggest and best wedding blogs. But low and behold, this morning I received an email from him asking if I wanted to be the one  to feature his newest day after session - taken in Florence, Italy! I think my exact words were ‘Errrm hell to the yes!’

Cool I know.

Elated.

The Sloan’s are those kind of photographers who’s work gets snapped up and featured the second they blog it. So you can imagine my elation to receive an email from the pair who asked if I would like first dibs on Heather & Austin’s engagement session. A pink haired chick and that Californian light? Seriously guys, there was no question!

Glamorous. Intimate. Chic

A City Hall ceremony doesn’t have to mean a quicky wedding. Herdah & Jonathan had a pretty damn glamorous but intimate and chic wedding at San Francisco’s City Hall followed by an even more glamorous but similarly unconventional reception at E&O Trading Company. Hardah wore a dress by Lian Carlo Couture  and shoes by Kate Spade. The beautiful flowers and suculents were put together by Herdah’s best friends and bridesmaids, the cupcakes were from Kara’s Cupcakes . Stunning.

For The Love

I’m pretty sure that Gwen & Joel are secretly models because no regular couple are this adorably photogenic right? I can’t really say what it is I love about these – because it’s everything!

Thanks to the wonderful Lizelle for sharing these with me

Elopement Joy

I got sent a great photo session and a sweet sweet story from photographer Heather Kincaid yesterday and I just had to share.

About a month ago I received an email from Amanda asking if I was available “for a photo shoot the last week of July.” Kind of a cryptic email… Having already shot their engagement session last year, I knew it wasn’t for that. So I had no clue what she was talking about. In a second email she revealed that she and Viet were planning to get married at the courthouse– just the two of them — and wanted me to come along to document their very intimate wedding day. I was so surprised! They made the decision that after eight years of being together, they didn’t want to wait any longer to be husband and wife and decided that on July 27th, their eight-year anniversary, they would make it official. It would be just the two of them making their commitment and celebrating their love for one another.

This session is quite frankly gorgeous. So gorgeous in fact that I don’t think my incessant ramblings can do it  justice. Therefore I won’t. Ramble that is. Just lookie and love what you see (eeek the chalkboard shots are to die for!)

Erica thank you so much for sharing this little bit of happiness.

Contemporary Love

Some more of the super modern for you. Canadian photographer Amber Hughes has really captured the drama of the contemporary architecture, whilst staying true to the portrayal of the couple in love…

Erica Berger really makes me want to move to San Francisco. These photographs make the city and it’s landmarks look so romantic and so cool!  …And don’t even get me started on how gorgeous this couple are.
