I love a good elopement story. I bet sometimes when the pressure of all this wedding planning rubbish really gets to you that the thought of it is a pretty attractive one huh? Well an elopement can be beautiful, meaningful and gorgeous – it’s not just all running off to Vegas and getting married by Elvis.
Sarah & Travis decided that elopement was for them as they wanted their wedding to be on their own terms – they wanted to do it their own way. The pair live Seattle but they hopped on a float plan to Canada to elope. Their photographers, Emmy & Aaron of E/A Photography, told me ”When they called us they told us they wanted something different and sexy for their images so we really wanted to capture the emotion of their love in the images. We did the shoot in Bastion Square in downtown Victoria and then at the old E&N railway roundhouse. Right around the corner from the roundhouse is a bunch of condo developments and in the middle is a little hillside exploding in wildflowers – perfect spot for a champagne picnic! These two are total sweet hearts and so crazy about each other. We barely had to say a word they were just so into each other. We love their story of meeting at a wedding and just knowing they were meant to be together. ”
So gorgeous!
