Hands up if you love Amelia Lyon! Chances are that if you’re not waving your arms madly in the air right now it’s because you haven’t heard of the lady… shame on you, oh boy is that about to change.
The Blog Land favourite and all round fabulous Amelia ran another round of her her famous ‘Lyon Shop’ photography workshops on March 6th in Vegas any results turned out a treat. I was lucky enough to secure these exclusive pictures to share with you today. Not only are the models gorgeous (photographer’s Mark & Candice Brooke), funky and fabulous but the locations are to die for. I am seriously swooning over that ‘pool at the top of a skyscraper’ shot. Just awesome.
Candice’s dress was from Allyse’s Bridal in Las Vegas and her fab headpiece and accessories were supplied by Lady Vintage.
Why hello December, you snuck up on us real fast didn’t you?! I’m not quite ready to get proper festive just yet, but here’s my usual conglomerate of candy sweetness to keep you going until I am.
♥ Shhh! An incognito New York Photographer is running a photo shoot contest. Incognito because they are keeping their identity a secret so not so influence the entries they receive. They say, In an effort to only attract the most creative, I have decided to remain anonymous. I do not want contestants going to my website for inspiration on what they think I may be looking for. I want them to be creative and original. I realize that this is unorthodox, but I truly believe this will enable me to find the type of contestants I seek.
I would love it if a Rock n Roll couple won this. Come on you can do it!
♥ Living TV are still on the look out for a Rock n Roll couple to take part in the next series of Four Weddings. If you’re in the UK and getting hitched between now and March then get in touch! For anyone who hasn’t seen the show before, here’s the info from the production team:
We are casting for the second series of “Four weddings” which see’s 4 brides attending each others’ weddings as guests and they will judge & score the day as a whole based on four categories, The Dress, The Food, The Venue and The Overall Experience. The scores are not disclosed amongst the other brides until after all the weddings when it will be revealed whose wedding has been judged the best! The bride with the highest score at the end of the show will win a Luxury dream honeymoon. We would really love a real variety of weddings celebrating different cultures and personal interests. We would love to include a gothic wedding or burlesque wedding, however we’re open to all sorts of weddings. This wedding would need to be taking place in December, January or February.
♥ I love posting videos to make you happieee
You may have seen this – it’s all over the internet, but my husband showed it to me on Tuesday and I melted (and laughed!)
You are going to totally adore these. Nancy’s dress is just gorgeous and all those wonderful waves throughout the skirt make for some pretty dramatic shots. I am just loving all the portraits (especially the ones with the cute doggie, sorry Edward – i.e. Groom!) but I am particularly crazy about that one of the couple on the steps with all the tea lights…just wow!
Make sure you go check out their wedding slideshow to see the rest of the day too, it’s worth for all the detail shots alone.
Thanks to the wonderful Amelia Lyon for letting me share these with you all.
Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
