Wedding Day/Day After Shoot

You are currently browsing the archive for the Wedding Day/Day After Shoot category.

I’ve been sent 2 amazing Australian weddings over the weekend so I thought I’d make today Rock n Roll Oz day! First up is this stunning set of Holga images sent to me by the lovely Casandra of Caspix Photography.

“I was so pleased when first discussing her wedding photography that Susan, the bride mentioned she was a huge fan of Holga and that she had a Diana camera herself” Casandra explained. “We discussed shooting a Holga session at her wedding and i was excited to see what we could capture. Lomography, which is shooting with a cheap snapshot camera like a Holga or Diana is known for it’s dreamlike romance, with optical distortion, saturated colouholrs, exaggerated vignetting, streaks from light leaks and unpredictable outcomes.”

Thanks to Casandra for kicking off Oz day today!

Jeremy & Teylir wanted a day after session with a difference and what’s more unconventional than standing in front of a backdrop in your wedding attire? Well getting half naked and romping around a hotel room that’s what!? After this steamy scene the pair headed out to a beautiful park to get some shots to treasure forever.

New York photographer Aga of Aga Images has always been one of my favourites. Not only is she one of the sweetest, loveliest gals on the internet but she never fails to blow me away with her darling images…don’t get me wrong though, this ain’t no sissy photography, in fact Karin & John’s vintage snow day after session is RAD! I am crazy about this dress and, of course, Karin’s awesome tattoos. OMG I have to get myself to the tattoo parlour stat!

Leo Patrone is one of those photographers that I’d consider a celebrity! As soon as I came across his work I was hooked. So when Leo said he was happy for me to blog Kelly & Cameron’s vintage-inspired Utah wedding portraits I was so excited, “Hell yeah I’ll feature these, wooo!”

White Lace Tights

This darling wedding day shoot makes me all happy and smiley (even through my hangover gah!) Russian photographer Nelly Suleymanova has a real knack for capturing her clients at their most beautiful…and hello, white lace tights? – Yeah amazing!

A Schoolyard Elopement

Tiffany & Tyler’s images is one I knew I had to blog as soon as I laid eyes on it. I love all the different elements at play here – the doggie, the Converse, the awesome dress…everything! The couple, who met at school, eloped and called their photographer friends Ashley & Stephanie that very morning to pop down and take some shots for them. They chose locations such as their old school to make the photographs really special.

These two (and Nikki, their adopted greyhound, makes three!) were a true joy to shoot, and Ashley and I are so happy they chose us–they are the true quintessence of White Rabbit Studios! Fun, artistic, flirty, bright, and definitely a bit offbeat–all things we love. And, really, could we have asked for better sunshine? I think not.
We chose two different locations–first, the (unfortunately) soon-to-be-closed East Clinton Elementary School, and then we reconvened for a few quick, fun shots (and delicious gelato!) at the ever-fabulous Sam & Greg’s in downtown Huntsville.

Underwater Love

Jorg & Barbi’s day after shoot was anything but standard! I would say what a brave couple for getting in the sea in their wedding gear but I would imagine the sea in The Philippines to be rather warm!

Eloping in New York

Tanya & Spike went over to New York from Sydney, Australia to elope in style! I love their simple wedding and killer attitude (not to mention that orange dress!) Photographer Sarah was privileged to be the only witness at the ceremony and then to follow the pair around the city to document their first hours as a married couple.

Alluring.

Dena & Mark’s day after shoot is the optimisation of glamour! Their outfits and the London locations are spot on and the photography by the awesome Segerius Bruce really reflects and oozes alluring feel. The couple had a Jewish wedding which always tend to be held late on Sundays, so what with the wedding taking place in November, once the ceremony was done there was not much light for a portrait shoot. Doing a shoot a few weeks later worked out perfectly for everyone.
