Daryl & Emily wanted their wedding to feature various elements that but didn’t necessary go together but that they both loved. From steampunk to Lego and Lord of the Rings, this September wedding was a true reflection of them as a couple. “Our theme was ‘Nerdtacula'”, Emily laughed. “We tried to incorporate different internet memes wherever possible!”
“We are both pretty unique people and we tried to bring in a little bit of ourselves in everything that we did”, she continued. “The wedding cake Lego base was inspired by Daryl’s love of Lego although we had originally toyed with the idea of zombie apocalypse on the Tyne bridge during the Great North Run. The music we chose for the service was all from our favourite video games and Daryl’s hat reflected his interest in steampunk.”

Scarlet & Craig's wedding wowed me as soon as I spied that dress. I was so excited to be able to share this incredible Goth extravaganza and luckily for you lot, so were the newlyweds. In fact Craig's reply when I emailed him back saying 'Yes yes, hell yes (ps your wife is hot)' was something along the lines of 'OMG so excited that you're going to feature us!!! Squeeee'.
"I'd never really thought about my wedding day growing up, so when Craig proposed on a trip to Amsterdam (with a tattoo that simply said 'Marry Me' on his wrists!) I was thrown into a bit of a panic!" Scarlet explained. "But as soon as we started planning we knew we wanted to do things our own way. Luckily we found Rock n Roll Bride, which made us realise there really are no 'rules' for a wedding, and then we just went all out! We didn't start out with one, but as we went along we developed a kind of pink and black gothic fairytale theme, pink being my favourite colour, and black being Craig's!

Jojo and Andy were married in August at Nettlestead Place, Kent. While the groom wasn't too bothered about having a big wedding, the bride wanted something special and so a steampunk theme it was! She wore a corset from Baba Studio with an AMAZING purple and turquoise skirt, made for her by Sisters of the Moon on Etsy. Her biker boots were from eBay.

Nic and Dan were married on Friday 13th July at 13.00 at St John the Evangelist Church in Brigg. The day started with them both getting '13' tattoos and ended with a pub reception at The Exchange Coach House. Nic didn't want a traditional dress, so she wore a black one lined with skull fabric! Skulls were a recurring theme throughout the day, and were also on her custom Converse, their cake, and the DIY bunting that decorated the venue.

Kat and Matt wanted anything but a traditional wedding. They started the day by having their ceremony at Old Wardour Castle in Salisbury. "The inspiration for the wedding was everything we enjoy: computer games, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, swords, horses, cats, dragons and castles!", said the bride. "We love looking around castles and historical sites, so finding a ruined castle licensed for weddings was amazingly perfect!"

Pip and Alex have always loved Halloween. Their little girl (who they call 'mouse') was even born on Halloween! They were married on 14th November and wanted their wedding to be a nod to their favourite time of year. They also wanted it to be non-traditional, and their theme was a cross between Morticia Addams and Cher! They saved for their wedding for over two years and bought what they could, when they could buy it.

Looby and Ryan's big day was not at all traditional but incredibly personal, and that's why we love it so much. The couple eloped to beautiful Cornwall, with a ceremony in a refurbished rustic barn with just the registrar and officiants as their witnesses, followed by their 'reception': A night in in a beautiful cottage at the venue. We love their whole attitude towards wedding planning and how true to themselves they stayed - Looby and Ryan, we salute you!
