Hurrah! A new year is upon us – full of infinite possibilities and exciting opportunities a-plenty! January is one of my favourite months of the year. Setting some goals, making some plans and generally getting over excited for the year ahead is one of my favourite things to do.
So once your hangover has subsided (how’s everyone feeling by the way!?) I’d encourage you to sit and write down some tangible goals for your business and/or your blog for the year ahead. Maybe you want to ramp up your readership, charge more for your services or start a new project? Remember to make your goals achievable and measurable so you can keep track of how you’re doing. So instead of saying “I want to earn more money”, think “I’d like to charge £100 extra per service by June”. That way, as you start to edge closer to your self-opposed deadline, you can see, without a shadow of a doubt, if you’re on the right track or not. If not – don’t worry – just change the goal posts a little. You – and only you – are in charge of your destiny after all!
For extra brownie points why not make your list pretty and hang it up somewhere where you can be reminded of your goals all year long?!
Here’s to a blinding 2013!

Fab advice and I’ve started as I mean to go. Only 364 days to go now! May Your Destiny Rise At The Peak With Each Day, May Peace Rule Your Heart And May Prosperity Rule Your Life! Have a wonderful 2013!
Have just achieved one of my goals already – now on to making that list and hanging in my brand new office (which is work in progress). Can’t wait. Wishing you a bubbly and sparkly 2013. Pamela x
Goal for this year….Be comfortable, being uncomfortable. Eeeeek :-/ Good luck everyone x
I completely agree.
Also, on a personal level – Goals are far more achievable (and bendable!) than resolutions.
Wishing you and all your readers a fab 2013!

Happy 2013
Happy New Year! What an exciting time … let’s bring it on!
Hi Kat, I just wanted to say a quick thank you
I made the decision in the last few weeks that I’m going to take my first tentative steps in setting up my own business within the industry as, like you, I’m so fed up with the same old formula – and already you’ve been a huge inspiration!!
I know it will be a long and tough journey ahead but hopefully in time I’ll fulfil my dream as you have.
All the best for 2013 – here’s to an exciting year for you, your family and all your lovely readers and contributors! X
Yey Nikki that’s awesome! Can’t wait to see what you do!
Happy NY! Loving the way 2013 is shaping up and so many goals that have been floating about in my head and the next few weeks is all about getting SMARTER baby!! The Green Room has been invaluable, such wonderful nuggets of advice and looking forward to two helpings of the Farm this year! BOOM xx
