I’ve had a busy week this week, kicking off with the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza in Birmingham on Sunday. Now I’m not one of those blgogers who looooves wedding fairs, but I have to say this was – by far – the best one I’ve ever been to. The exhibitors were fabulous (you can see photos of some of my fave things on my instagram - hello! Back to the Future wedding cake!) and the brides & grooms-to-be that were wondering round were all so cool I could have died. It was so awesome to meet so many readers and fans in such a short space of time. I was humbled by all your kind words and your hugs. Thank you, thank you.
Then on Tuesday I headed to The Dorchester in London to speak at the Niemierko Academy for wedding planners. I spoke all about blogging, social media and why my readers are the best. I was in one of the fanciest hotels in London, talking to quite a high brow group of professionals and I rock up and say “yeah my favourite weddings are the ones where the couple make everything themselves and spend as little money as possible” HAHA – cue surprised gasps all round!
Then yesterday I was back in London shooting with Cosmopolitan Magazine… NO BIGGIE. They’re running a feature on me and my glamorous life (ha!) in their February issue (which is in shops in January) and I’m thrilled! The girls were lovely and I had the best time being made to feel all celebrity-esque. I can’t wait to see the results!
So yeah, busy week… PHEW. So what have you been up to?

Could you not just buy plain wallpaper and do the colour fade yourselves? x
well if i was at ALL crafty maybe! i’ll have to have a word with gareth about that!
wow love that wallpaper…
ha ha Thanks Kat. I was sorry I wasnt at my stand when you dropped by it the first time, I was elsewhere being nosey at all the awesomeness!
I left my other half on the stand (he hates it when i leave him on his own) When I came back he said….a chick with pink hair and bunny ears told me off because you dont have your twitter name on your business cards….ha ha ha
tracey – haha yes that chick was me. well how am i supposed to tweet about you if its not on there?!
This person painted a wall like that themselves – well, her husband did and he’s a professional painter, but maybe you know someone who could help you out?.

I know *slaps hands* I was trying to be ‘minimal’ ha ha. I have links to twitter and facebook on my website but I have deffo noted it for the next batch I buy!! xxxx
I found this on Pinterest this morning – http://psimadethis.com/post/29048629455/between-crushes-fascinations-and-lust-have – for an ombre wall, but I think it’s harder than she makes it look! I KNOW I would cock it up.
Yet another gorgeous cake and glad you managed to bring the highbrows back down to earth – lol
oxox

What an amazing cake! Anything Michael J. Fox Rocks!
Wow! Incredible Wallpaper! Would recommend to everyone!
OMG… LOVE this cake! “Back to The Future” is my FAVORITE movie… I would totally have this cake at my wedding!
If your favourite weddings are the ones that DIY and every Bride in Britain was a DIY all the advertisers on your site would have no wedding bookings at all.
Its bad enough out here trying to get people to pay creatives for anything they do, everyone wants their dreams to realised but at little or no cost. Please dont recommend it!
