Sarah & Brendon had a garden party style wedding… outside… in the UK… in October. Brave! Well technically they were married at Bishops Stortford register office but their reception was held in a marquee in The Gibberd Garden, Harlow. They kept things low key and relaxed, inviting their guests to dress as they pleased. They had also had a DIY gin bar which went down very well.
“Our wedding theme was a rustic, autumnal garden party”, wrote Sarah. “We have been together nearly five years and have a daughter together, so getting married was just a formality for us and we therefore didn’t want to go down the traditional wedding route. We wanted to be ourselves, to keep it simple and informal, and most of all to throw a really good party where we just happened to get married at the same time.”
“I loved all of it, but in particular I was really thrilled with what my florist produced and the gin bar went down really well. In fact in retrospect I wish I hadn’t indulged quite so much from the gin bar, the evening time post-speeches is all a bit of a blur! One of our main aims was for our guests to have a good time so we were really pleased that they all seemed to enjoy themselves.”
Gorgeous. Thank you to Sarah & Brendon and their wedding photographer Laura Babb for sharing with us today.
