Coming in a bit late to this article but just wanted to say thank you Kat. I've been really struggling with SEO - how it works, what to do, how i can improve my google rating etc and just stumbled across this post and it has really helped and reassured me. Your point on trackbacks is great as well - i wasn't actually sure on the purpose before now...

Thanks again!

Great article. Makes me realize I have to get motivated on the content part of our site. We are currently using a flash site with an HTML mirrored site for iPhone and Google, but it lacks content building abilities and SEO optimization is not much. Thinking about switching to Pro Photo by Net Rivet. Anyone had success with them?

Again thanks for the article - great stuff!!!
