I love crazy-out-there Trash the Dress…I just don’t know if I’d have the balls to do it myself with my actual wedding dress – maybe with a cheap one I got especially for the occasion!? The paint leads to a fantastic effect though - gotta love all that colour.

I’m the bride in this shoot…. just wanted to add that I did not leave my dress in the trash can
Instead, I waited for the paint to dry (which dried in totally cool patterns) then I cut it into 3 large sections and wrapped those sections around canvas & they’re now hanging above my bed in our bedroom! I loved doing something fun with my dress as opposed to leaving it hanging in my mom’s closet, where it’s been for the last 6+ years.

Did she get divorced? Is that why she’s trashing her dress? I’m all for avant garde, but this is a little out there

This is great, my favorite ttd ever. I also love using it for art afterwards.

What I love the most is that she turned her dress into art to hang above her bed. I’ve done a few Trash the Dress shoots so far, and I have to tell you, none of the dresses has been trashed…they’ve all be cleaned up and hung back in the closet or cut down into a cocktail dress. You can have a lot of fun with Trash the Dress shoots!

Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
