OK so this was one of the weddings I was saving for the book (work in progress!) but after some of the responses I got to Leanne & Zach’s rice krispie wedding cake cakes I feel the need to post the french fancy wedding cake cakes!
I discovered this wedding when I was planning my own so it’s pretty old (from July 2007) but this was probably the first wedding I found that gave me some serious wedding envy! I adore the vintagey details, the English country garden style and of course the awesome cake idea!
The Bride choose a stunning Pronovias gown (Edelweiss) and veil, teaming it with a beautiful hair slide from Glitzy Secrets. The gorgeous stationary was designed by the lady herself (she has since started up her own stationary company but I’m really sorry I don’t have the link) and an old typewriter was used as a guest book. The amazing bridesmaid dresses were actually from TK Maxx (TJ Maxx if you’re reading this in America) customised with some ribbon from VVrouleaux (I am in love with these dresses!) and the Bride also made the Bridesmaid’s lovely hairpieces.
Truly gorgeous. I hope you enjoy these..

Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
